I’m going to keep the monologue pretty short this week. I have some lightly scoped out ideas to share in 2018 though so don’t worry, lots more to come. It has been a rough week in the Short household and I’m mentally spent. But, there was a ton DevOps, Cloud Native, and open source of news this week. How do you want to finish out the year? I am beyond thankful for an incredibly supportive family. Through all the ups and downs of this past week, there has been a steadfast source of support and happiness springing eternal from those we moved to Michigan to be closer to.

Read more →North Carolina, and particularly the Triangle area, has had an enormous amount of rain this week. The tiny creek behind our house was a rapid early in the week. According to the USGS, Falls Lake is almost ten feet above it’s average levels. There was one fatality as a result of someone driving around a barricade onto a flooded roadway. Common sense is not common. Please stay safe out there, folks.
